JAMMU, Apr 8: Brahman Maha Mandal (BMM) Kashmir held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president BL Handoo and denounced the decision of the Government over Shrine Bill in the recently concluded Assembly session.
While speaking, BL Handoo said that protection and safety of the shrines has been a long standing demand of the Kashmiri Samaj, which has been continuously ignored by the Government and had been finally shelved.
The soft paddling of the entire matter has evoked strong dissatisfaction among the Kashmiri samaj towards the Government, he added.
BMM appealed to the Union Government to take cognizance of the issue and initiate steps to safeguard the places of the worship.
