BLSKS organizes programme on Malaria Day

JAMMU, Apr 24: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) here today staged musical play ‘Inderdhanush’ and also organized a programme on the theme of this year’s Malaria Day ‘Zero Malaria starts with me’.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, V.K Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity.
Former Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur, Dr. Tara Singh Charak presided over the function.
Awareness items prepared on the themes, like ‘Chara Da Bukhar’, ‘Roko Roko Malaria Gi Roko’ etc along with skits and folk songs were presented to aware the masses.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of organizers and said World Malaria Day comes on April 25 each year and is an internationally recognized day.
Artists of BLSKS presented songs like ‘Savdhan Savdhan Corona Mahamari Se Bacha Lo Apne Pran’. The songs were written by M.L Dogra and music was given by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor of BLSKS.
Earlier welcoming the audience M.L Dogra, BLSKS chairman talked on World Malaria Day.
Singers, musicians, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who performed in the musical play were Bindia Arora, Mukesh Arora, Ranjeet Singh, Rakshanda Bhat, Ujwal Sharma, Rakshit Sharma, Dhruv Pandit, Vandana Gupta, Jiya Barua and others.
