JAMMU, Apr 13: The Chaitra Navratra Festival-2019 organized by Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) concluded here today at Durga Bhawan, Janipur with musical programme ‘Mai Diyan Chuniya’. The function was inaugurated by chief guest V.K Magotra, former Regional Director Directorate of Field Publicity while Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director Health Department, Davinder Chadha, Head Pujari, Durga Bhawan and J.K Raina, Freelance Producer-Director were the guests of honour.
The programme commenced with devotional songs like ‘Jai Jai Sheranwali’, ‘Mayia He Mayia Meri Mahiya’ and ‘Tum Durga Tum Laxmi Tum Hi Maa Sheranwali’. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that festival of Navratri is full of lights, joy and festivity. “Hindus celebrate this festival with devotion and enthusiasm throughout India,” he further said.
The entire programme was produced and directed by M.L Dogra.
Earlier Dogra in his speech highlighted the story Maa Vaishno Devi.
