MANDI, Aug 4: A blood donation camp was organised here at Sub District Hospital by Tanzeem ul Momineen today.
During the camp, 17 units of blood was donated by the youth of Shia community in the name of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). The blood was collected by a special team of the Health Department deputed from Poonch town for this purpose.
The collected blood would be taken to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch. There, it would be stored in the blood bank to be later used during emergency situations.
President Tanzeem ul Momineen Mandi, Shamim ul Hassan Ansari and the youth who donated the blood, claimed that the camp was organised in the memory of Karbala martyrs.
“The blood collected today shall be used to save precious lives during the medical emergencies. More such camps will be organised in the town in the future,” they said.
