Blood donation camp held in court on Shaheedi Diwas

JAMMU, Mar 24: In order to commemorate Shaheedi Diwas and to salute our national heroes S Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar, the Global Peace organization in collaboration with Young Lawyers Association J&K High Court, Jammu today organised a ‘mega awareness cum blood donation camp’ in court complex here in which 62 donors voluntarily donated blood for serving the humanity.
Justice Tashi Rabstan was the chief guest on this occasion. DC Raina Advocate General and MK Bhardwaj president J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu graced the occasion as guests of honour.  A rich floral tribute was paid by advocates to our national heroes. The camp lasted for the whole day.
Justice Rabstan inaugurated the camp and lauded the role of young lawyers and the volunteers of Global Peace Organisation for serving humanity in an era of distress and despair.  He urged everyone to come forward for such a noble cause. While equating the blood donors as the real life heroes he said that rich donate ‘red gold’ while the poor donate money.
DC Raina too boosted the morale of donors and narrated various benefits of blood donation.
MK Bhardwaj appreciated the organisers of the event and urged everyone to donate blood.
On this occasion the entire team of High Court Bar Association Jammu besides other prominent advocates including former Advocate General Aslam Goni, Vikram Sharma senior advocate, KK Pangotra former Assistant Solicitor General of India, HA Saddiqui former senior AAG, HC Jalmeria, Ajay Gandotra, Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed, Khalid Mustafa Bhatti and others also graced the occasion.
The entire team of organisers was led by Rohit Sharma, president Young Lawyers Association and the camp was co-assisted by a medical team from the Department of Blood Bank GMC Hospital, Jammu.
