UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: At Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur, 2nd batch of 6 patients were operated free of cost for implantation of IOL and all the blind patients regained their vision.
Rotary Eye Hospital extended all sort of support in coordination with Rotarians of Rotary Club for doing this noble project. Till date 305 patients have been operated free of cost for implantation of Intra Ocular Lens under the HBCEHP.
Most of the members of Rotary Club Udhampur were present on the occasion at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur. Dr Ankur Goel, Dr Sumeru Raina along with the operated patients and their attendants were also present during the camp. Awareness was also given to the patients about the eye care after surgery so that better vision is maintained in future.
Earlier, a free screening camp was organized in Sudhmahadev, tehsil Chenani district Udhampur, in which 236 patients were screened, out of which 40 were found partially blind.
These patients had remained deprived of advance medical treatment due to non availability of medical facilities in their areas.
