Blind murder worked out, woman alongwith paramour held

DODA, May 8: Police today worked out blind murder of a man and arrested his wife and her paramour for the crime.
SSP Doda, Arif Rishu said that during the intervening night of May 6 and 7, an information was received at Police Station Doda that some persons have killed one Abdul Latief, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir at village Gadan under the jurisdiction of Police Station Doda.
On this report, a case under Section 302/RPC was registered. During the course of investigation, Incharge Police Post Bhagwah visited the spot and conducted legal formalities. The body of deceased was shifted to Doda where post mortem was conducted.
Thereafter, Doda Police picked up the wife of deceased alongwith one more person on suspicion. During further course of investigation, it came to fore that wife of deceased namely Rafiqa Begam had developed illicit relations with Niyamatulla, son of Mohd Sharief and this irritated the husband of Rafiqa.
In order to get rid of Abdul Latief, Rafiqa Begum and Niyamatulla hatched a conspiracy whereby Rafiqa with the help of her paramour first gave sleep inducing pills to deceased on the night of May 6 and in the wee hours of May 7 they strangulated him.
Both the accused have been arrested.
