JAMMU, July 15: BJYM national executive member & J&K Prabhari Ashok Singh Chouhan, today said that a country-wide membership campaign under “Yuva Sadasya – Yuva Mitra Abhiyan” will be launched from July 23, which will conclude on August 22.
Mr Chouhan, who is in Jammu was talking to reporters here today along with BJYM State President, Ravinder Raina, Chouhan said that the country is facing serious crises and problems because of misrule of Congress-led Government in non-BJP ruled States and at the Centre. Shattered economy, price-rise, unemployment, corruption, scams have become order of the day, he added.
He said terrorists and naxals are perpetrating their nefarious activities without any fear/control. The youth are facing problems of unemployment which has made them helpless and disappointed. They are looking towards BJP with great hope and expectation, he added.
He said in such circumstances BJP is morally bound to become an alternative and fulfill their expectations and associate them with us.
Chouhan said that since the time BJP has announced Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi as head of Election Campaign Committee, country’s youth want to associate themselves with BJP with great vigour. Today the young generation in the country has understood it very well that a party like BJP having ideology of patriotism can only ensure their all-round development along with country.
The base or strength of a political party depends on the number of its members and we have been conducting membership campaign programme from time to time and succeeded in associating 55 lakhs young members with the party in the recent past.
BJYM leader said that membership campaign will commence from July 23, the birth anniversary of revolutionary youth Chandrashekhar Azad. First time voters, rural youths, backward and Scheduled Caste and tribes and young boys and girls between the age group of 18 to 25 years will be enrolled on priority basis in this special campaign.
The youth so associated will be called “Yuva Mitra” and it will provide an opportunity to those youth, who want to play an active role in politics and want to experience a dream of a prosperous, intellectually rich and strong India, he added.
NEC Member Parimoksh Seth, Vice-Presidents Narinder Kotwal and Karan Sharma, general secretary Ajay Pargal, BJYM Legal Cell convenor, Bhanu Singh Jasrotia and secretary Ishant Gupta were also present in the press conference.
