BJYM organizes blood donation camp

RAJOURI, Sept 18: The Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College Rajouri, in collaboration with BJP Yuva Morcha, organised a voluntary blood donation camp today, reflecting a strong spirit of service and community participation.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth volunteers, students, and members of the organisation who came forward to donate blood and support the noble cause of saving lives. 13 units of blood were collected during the drive, ensuring timely availability of this vital resource for patients in need at GMC Rajouri and associated hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Irm Yasmeen, Head of the Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine, expressed gratitude to the donors and appreciated the commitment of BJP Yuva Morcha for joining hands in this humanitarian initiative.
“Blood donation is one of the greatest gifts one can offer to humanity. Today’s camp highlights the dedication of our youth towards society’s wellbeing,” she said.
Leaders from BJP Yuva Morcha and Ex MLC Vibodh Gupta spoke on the event and encouraged the youth to actively participate in such life-saving causes. They reiterated their commitment to supporting healthcare initiatives and strengthening the culture of voluntary blood donation in the region.
