JAMMU, Dec 6: The aspirants of JKAS here today staged a protest demonstration demanding age-relaxation and postponement of JKAS exams and the demand has received support from different organisations.
BJYM Jammu North president, Rajat Singh Manhas led a strong protest demonstration in this regard against NC Government for its failure to grant age relaxation to the aspirants in competitive and recruitment examinations.
“The government has shown complete disregard for the concerns of thousands of youth who have lost crucial years due to repeated exam delays, cancellations and flawed recruitment processes,” he said adding: “Denying age relaxation is unjust and has severely impacted career prospects of deserving candidates.”

Manhas appealed J&K LG Manoj Sinha to consider postponing the upcoming JKAS examination and granting age relaxation to the aspirants.
Meanwhile, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) has also extended support to JKAS aspirants seeking age relaxation and a deferment of the J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC) Combined Competitive Examination (JKAS/CCE).
In this regard, JKPYC State general secretary, Anirudh Sawhney facilitated a discussion through a call between the aspirants and Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president, Uday Bhanu Chib, during which Chib assured that IYC would raise the matter directly with the Lieutenant Governor and the government to safeguard the rights and future of the candidates.
