JAMMU, Nov 15: Bharatiya Jain Sangathan (BJS) today launched its “Khilona Bank” initiative at Government Primary School, Kargal in Purmandal Zone to support joyful learning among underprivileged children.
A statement said the project has been taken up in Jammu by Jain Taruni Mandal, which will provide educational toys to children studying in Government schools.
The programme began with the blessings of Mahasadhvi Kiran MS and focused on promoting curiosity, creativity and early learning through play-based resources.
Members of BJS, including its chief patrons and office-bearers, attended the event and appreciated the idea of creating a toy bank for children who lack access to such learning material.
Jain Taruni Mandal, which will run the project on the ground, introduced its team and expressed gratitude to BJS for entrusting them with the responsibility.
Donors and supporters associated with the initiative were also acknowledged during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries said the Khilona Bank would help make classroom learning more engaging for children from marginalized communities.
They encouraged volunteers to expand the project to more schools in the coming months.
The programme concluded with blessings from Mahasadhvi Kiran MS, who motivated students, teachers and volunteers to continue working for community welfare.
