JAMMU, Dec 7:  BJP  workers of district  unit Poonch today held strong protest demonstration against former J&K Chief Minister and top National Conference leader Dr Farooq Abdullah for siding with  the Hurriyat and airing most controversial remarks.
A large number of BJP workers led by District president Bansi Lal Sharma and senior leaders Pardeep Sharma, Sanjiv Gupta  and Satish Sasan assembled at Parade Ground Poonch and launched protest demonstration against NC leader president.  They shouted loud slogans against Farooq Abdullah and termed  his remarks as anti-national. They demanded that a case be registered against Dr Abdullah and he should be arrested.
The protesting BJP leaders and workers also burnt the effigy of Dr Farooq Abdullah. Several senior leaders addressed the gathering and described father-son duo as most opportunist  Kashmiri leaders, who always change colours after being out of power. They can go to any extent if  they are thrown out of power, they said.
They described that  Omar was Union minister  in NDA Govt  and Farooq Abdullah was also Union minister during previous regime.   And now when both are out of power, they have started talking about Pakistan and Hurriyat. They turn most so called  ‘nationalist’  when in power.  They cautioned the people to understand the designs of  the Abdullahs’ who have always befooled the innocent people for the sake of power.
