JAMMU, July 15: There is enough anger in public against BJP and its leadership over its working against the people especially on issues like unemployment, hike in prices of essential commodities, steep rise in corruption etc.
This was stated by senior Congress leader and former Minister, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma during his four day tour to different areas of Billawar and Kathua.
Sharma asked the people to punish BJP for its alleged misdeeds, corruptions and betrayal.
He toured the areas like Katli, Baggan, Thamnal, Riar, Marhuin, Katni Parnala, Barota, Chajirth, Chann Roarian (Langer) and Kathua town and addressed public meetings at Durung and Parngoli.
The Congress leader said that BJP has totally worked against the interest of the people and destroy peaceful atmosphere in the State particularly in Jammu province.
“Though BJP speaks much on nationalism but it did nothing for the martyrs of our Army and para-military forces which has exposed its (BJP’s) concept of nationalism,” he maintained.
He also flayed the BJP for not fulfilling its promise made with border dwellers regarding their rehabilitation by allotting them five marla plots at safer place.
In a handout Sharma stated that people of different villages of district Kathua apprised him regarding their miserable condition due to non-payment of MGNREGA labour claims for the last two years while their IAY instalments for the year 2014 are still pending.
He appealed to the authorities to release wages of MGNREGA and IAY claims on priority.
