BJP welcomes national president Nitin Nabin on first Telangana visit ahead of municipal polls

HYDERABAD, Feb 3 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Telangana, on Tuesday welcomed the party’s National President  Nitin Nabin on his first visit to the state after assuming charge. BJP leaders said the visit comes at a crucial time as the party steps up its campaign for the forthcoming municipal elections.

In a press statement, Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao said  Nitin Nabin’s visit would energise party cadre, strengthen organisational resolve, and sharpen the BJP’s grassroots connect across Telangana. He said the visit marks an important milestone for the party’s state unit.

Highlighting BJP’s growth in Telangana, Ramchander Rao recalled that even in 1984, when the party won just two Lok Sabha seats nationwide, one was from Telangana. He said the BJP’s rise to winning eight Lok Sabha seats from the state in the 2024 general elections reflects growing public trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s ideology of development and good governance.

As part of the municipal election campaign,  Nitin Nabin will address a Karyakarta Sammelan in Mahabubnagar on Wednesday. The meeting is expected to motivate booth-level workers, municipal leaders, and party activists. BJP workers from municipalities across the state will also participate through live streaming arrangements at local centres.

Ramchander Rao appealed to party workers and the public in Mahabubnagar and surrounding areas to participate in large numbers and make the Sammelan a success, calling for collective efforts towards building a “Viksit Telangana – Viksit Bharat.”
