JAMMU, May 19: The BJP will do everything to make sure that no one sleeps hungry in the Union Territory due to ongoing Corona curfew as the party is already on toes to ensure that every needy soul gets ration, necessary medicines and other essential commodities at his or her doorsteps.
This was stated by Ashok Koul, BJP general secretary (Organization) while distributing ration among the needy at Purani Mandi, East Constituency here on Wednesday. Yudhvir Sethi, vice president BJP J&K and convener Sewa Hi Sangathan Hai Abhiyan-2 flanked Ashok Koul during the ration distribution drive.
Later, talking to media persons, Koul said that BJP’s ration distribution drive aims at ensuring that all should be provided with food and other necessities during the time of restrictions. He asserted that BJP workers have been working round the clock to reach out to migrant labourers, rag pickers, single mothers, artisans, operators and other un-organized labourers to ensure their access to essentials.
Ashok Koul laid stress upon the party workers to ensure that ration, medicines and other necessary commodities are provided to needy persons, while maintaining personal hygiene and social distancing. He said that BJP activists are on forefront to provide their service to the society at this crucial hour.
Yudhvir urged people to cooperate with the Government and maintain social distancing besides remaining confined to their homes to combat spread of Coronavirus, as without cooperation of citizens it would be hard to achieve desired results of making India free from COVID-19. He also appealed to the people to come forward to donate ration and other essential items so that a large number of families, in distress, may be covered and provided ration items as an interim relief.
