BJP stages protests at Rehari, Roop Nagar, Trikuta Nagar

JAMMU, Feb 5: To highlight the problems being faced by the people in view of the Government’s decision to bring down the scale of ration to the consumers, BJP activists of Janipur Mandal under its president Praduman Singh took out a protest march in Rehari colony area of Jammu West Constituency and burnt the effigy of the Coalition Government for its anti-people policies. They also raised slogans against the CAPD Department.
BJP Jammu district president Rajesh Gupta, who also joined the march, said that the State Government has once again been exposed for its anti-people policies. He said the recent decision to reduce the scale of atta and rice to be released through ration depots is reflection of Government’s anti people policy.
Janipur Mandal President Praduman Singh said that ration supplied even at the minimized scale is of sub standard quality. Sometimes the ration released to the depots for the public consumption is not suitable even for animals, he added.
Arun Chhibber, Sanjay Khanna, Gurdyal Singh Bali, Vijay Sharma, Munish Raja, Ajay Vaid, Arvind Gupta, Ramesh Jasrotia were among others who participated in the protest.
Another protest was held by BJP Ex Servicemen Cell as Roop Nagar against the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde for his remarks against BJP and RSS. The irate Party activists torched his effigy. Over 300 activists of the Cell participated in the protest. The protest was held under the presidentship of S Maj (retd) B S Jasrotia and Col (retd) Uttam Singh state vice president, BJP also took part in it.
Another protest was held at PHE Service Station Trikuta Nagar by the residents of Ward 53 Trikuta Nagar led by Aseem Gupta BJP secretary incharge publicity against water scarcity in the area. The people raised slogans against the PHE Department.
Addressing the demonstrators Aseem Gupta warned the PHE Chief Engineer to restore water within 24 hours failing which the residents of the area will resort to agitation and the Government will be responsible for all consequences. Rajesh Gupta, Deeraj Mahajan, Sham Lal, Vivek Manchanda, Charanjit Singh and others took part in the protest.
