Srinagar, Aug 18 : A Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Sarpanch was today arrested with a pistol by police in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official said that said BJP Sarpanch Aqib Shafi Badar son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Qoimoh Kulgam was arrested along with a pistol from his residence in Qoimoh area of the district.
He said that further investigations have been initiated in this regard. “He is presently being questioned,” he added.
