JAMMU, June 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today released a poetry collection titled Essentia, written by young author Aakshra Gupta, at its headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The event was attended by BJP J&K President Sat Sharma, General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, General Secretaries Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal and Advocate Vibodh Gupta, and MLA Bahu Choudhary Vikram Randhawa. Family members and friends of the author were also present.
Aakshra, a student of Class 12, was praised for her maturity and creativity.
J&K BJP President Sat Sharma congratulated her for expressing her emotions through poetry and said young girls like her are making the nation proud.
He added that the Modi Government has taken several steps since 2014 to empower women and girls.
Ashok Koul said Aakshra’s literary talent reflects the positive impact of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme.
“Girls today are shaping India’s cultural and intellectual space,” he noted.
Dr Manyal said that literature influences society and encouraged more youth to pursue creative fields.
Vibodh Gupta called the book a reflection of hope, sensitivity, and cultural strength, while Ch Randhawa appreciated the young poet’s discipline and vision.
Speaking on the occasion, Aakshra said her poetry aims to help readers reconnect with their inner selves.
She thanked her family, especially her grandparents, parents, and sister, for their constant support.
Her father, Vikrant Gupta, shared that Aakshra independently created every aspect of the book, including its design and layout, making Essentia a truly personal project.
