JAMMU, Nov 27:  The State unit of BJP orgainsed a Shouk Sabha at Trikuta Nagar office to pay tributes to its founder member & senior leader Bansi Lal Bharti. The party leaders laid wreaths at his portrait as a mark of respect to him.
State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A.), in his tributes, termed the sad demise of Bharti as a great loss to the party and also to the society and said that he was a multifaceted personality having commitment for the cause of the society without any wish for a post.
Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, while paying tributes to Bansi Lal Bharti, said that that he got associated with RSS and BJP in the times when the weaker sections used to maintain distance from these organisations. For Bharti, self was never a priority. Such leaders are born to write history and rule the minds of people.
Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas said that Bharti was a noble soul who always remained in forefront to serve the party. His long association with the party will remain a golden chapter in the history of BJP and keep inspiring the party cadre.
Speaker, State Assembly, Kavinder Gupta recalled his earlier days of his getting associated with BJP when Bharti was a known face of the party.
State general secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul said that in the demise of Bharti, the organization has suffered a huge loss because he was not merely a leader of weaker section but an asset of the party.
MLC Ashok Khajuria,  SC Morcha State President & MLA Dr. Davinder Manyal, Senior leader Chander Mohan Sharma, BJP Senior leader ND Rajwal, BJP State General Secretary Harinder Gupta and Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, PHE Minister Sham Choudhary, MoS Education Smt. Priya Sethi, Senior Leader Suresh Jamwal, State Secretary Gulam Ali Khattana, MLC Charnjit Singh Khalsa also paid their tributes.
