JAMMU, Sept 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, under the leadership of its president, Sat Sharma (CA), today paid rich tribute to the legendary freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, where senior leaders and workers gathered to honor the memory of the great martyr.
J&K BJP general secretaries, Sanjita Dogra, and Gopal Mahajan besides other leaders also paid tribute.
Sat Sharma, accompanied by party functionaries, offered floral tribute at the portrait of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He described him as an eternal source of inspiration for the youth of India, whose supreme sacrifice at a very young age galvanized the freedom struggle and instilled a spirit of patriotism across the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that Bhagat Singh’s vision of an independent, strong, and progressive India continues to guide future generations. He emphasized that the responsibility lies with today’s youth to carry forward the ideals of courage, sacrifice, and nation-first attitude exemplified by Bhagat Singh. He further asked all to imbibe the teachings of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in their personal and political lives.
Other senior leaders also recalled the revolutionary’s indomitable spirit and his unwavering fight against oppression and injustice. They asserted that remembering the sacrifices of national heroes strengthens the resolve to build a united and prosperous India.
In another function held a t Delhi Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) led by its president Kundan Kashmiri paid glowing tribute to this great freedom fighter and termed him an inspiration for nationalist forces in the country.
