JAMMU, Dec 28: BJP today remembered and paid glowing tribute to former Finance Minister, veteran leader, legal luminary Arun Jaitley on his 72nd birth anniversary.
Arun Jaitley, was a multifaceted personality, synonymous with integrity, intellect, and leadership. He remains an enduring inspiration for millions said Aseem Gupta, vice president, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, while remembering Jaitley.
Aseem Gupta said that Arun Jaitley was a distinguished lawyer, a visionary statesman, a great politician, and a mentor par excellence. “Today when we reflect on his immense contributions, his legacy continues to shape India’s socio-economic and political fabric”.
Jaitley’s journey to prominence began with his academic excellence, graduating from Delhi University with a law degree. His sharp intellect and oratory skills quickly propelled him into the limelight. Starting his political career as a student leader with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Jaitley demonstrated an unwavering commitment to democratic values.
“As a legal luminary, Jaitley represented some of the most high-profile cases in Indian history, leaving an indelible mark on the judiciary” said Aseem, adding that his exceptional ability to simplify complex legal arguments earned him the reputation of being one of the most contacted lawyers in the country.
Aseem Gupta further said that as a senior leader of the BJP, he played a pivotal role in shaping its policies and strategies. His tenure as India’s Finance Minister was marked by transformative reforms. Jaitley championed the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), simplifying India’s tax structure and fostering a unified economic framework.
His speeches, whether in Parliament or public forums, resonated with clarity and conviction, making him a revered figure across party lines. He was also a writer, penning insightful articles on pressing national and global issues, he said.
Aseem pointed that Arun Jaitley was a mentor to many young leaders, he inspired them to pursue excellence and serve the nation selflessly.
Floral tribute were also paid to Arun Jaitley on his birth anniversary at another function organized by Karan Sharma along with others in which rich tribute were paid to this great leader.
Speaking on the occasion, Karan Sharma remembered the life instances and praised Jaitley as a superb activist, lucid orator with his quality of presenting hard facts with peculiar ease.
He said that his contribution in strengthening the organization is beyond any words and particularly his role in the Jammu and Kashmir has benefitted the entire region of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in terms of policy matters and developmental projects.
