BJP to organize ‘Vikas Parv’ on two years of Modi Govt: Khanna

JAMMU, May 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to celebrate the two years of Narendra Modi Government as “Vikas Parv” and under this programme, a Union Cabinet Minister, accompanied by Union MoS and one national leader will be visiting different parts of the country from May 27 to June 25 to apprise the people about the major programmes initiated during the last two years by Modi government and achievements made under these programmes.
This was stated by national vice president and Party’s Prabhari for J&K, Avinash Rai Khanna while addressing a meeting of BJP State office bearers, district presidents, district general secretaries and Morcha presidents at Party Headquarters at Trikuta Nagar near here today.
He said one State office bearer or senior leader will be joining them in respective States. Khanna said during a period of two years about 52 programmes were launched for the benefit of common masses of the country which covers all the sections of the society, including SCs, STs, down trodden, women, youth, farmers, border people, ex-servicemen, senior citizens etc. Some of the programmes initiated are ‘Jan Dhan Yojana’, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’, ‘Samajik Smrasta’, ‘Skill India’, ‘Digital India’, Start up Stand up, ‘Mudra Yojana’, ‘Atal Pension Yojana’, ‘PM Fasal Bima Yojana’, ‘Deen Dayal Upadhayay Vidyut Yojana’, ‘Ujwala Pahal’, etc. He further said that the similar programmes are to be organized at district, Mandal and booth level and the local leaders be involved to highlight Union Government’s achievements as well as those of the State’s PDP-BJP coalition.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Jammu-Poonch, while addressing meeting, gave record of the proceedings of the meeting of BJP MPs addressed by the Prime Minister, wherein the PM set the targets for each MP.
State general secretary Dr. Narinder Singh also spoke on the agenda and stressed for organizing such programmes at State, district, Mandal and Booth level.
State vice-president Bharat Bhushan presided over the meeting and State general secretary Pawan Khajuria conducted the proceedings. The dais was also shared by State general secretary Harinder Gupta.
