JAMMU, Sept 2:  Senior Congress leader and former MLA Dr Manohar Lal Sharma strongly lamented the BJP for ignoring the genuine demands of the people who are suffering badly due to the casual and non- serious  approach of its leaders and ministers.
In a press statement Dr Sharma, said that the most of the ministers of BJP have followed a trend to avoid listening  the genuine problems of  people as  they are  not concerned about the miseries and sufferings the general public. They have failed in providing  drinking water especially in rural and far flung areas. The second essential commodity is ration supply including sugar to the general public which is totally collapsed.
Dr Sharma alleged that medicines in the PHCs, CHCs and even in district hospitals are not available.  The doctors are not available to these health centers and the people are forced to go to chemists  and other private clinics/ hospitals  for even minor treatments. The position of  Billawar SDH is worst ever during the tenure of present Government. The ambulances are in very bad shape and no maintenance has been taken   since long due to which the ambulances are not in working orders.
The Congress leader alleged that position of Primary Health Centers in district Kathua including  PHC Ramkote,  Ucha Pind, Koug, Bhaddu and Dinga Amb is worst.  District Hospital Kathua is also in bad shape.  He further said that many  residential houses collapsed partially  and fully   due to the heavy rains in various villages of Billawar, Hira Nagar, Bani and Basohli  but no body paid heed to assess the loss accrued and to initiate  process for compensation to these people.    Dr Sharma flayed Government for its  anti- people approach and further cursed the BJP for not providing the relief to the people who gave  them massive mandate in both elections.
