AKHNOOR, Dec 8: Continuing his electioneering in remote and Kandi areas of Akhnoor, senior Congress leader and Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma addressed several meetings and described the unwise outbursts of NC leadership against Congress leadership as their frustration on growing popularity of the party.
Mr Sharma ridiculed the J&K Chief Minister’s claim that he was working to make Rahul Gandhi as PM. He asserted that Congress is national political party and does not rely on any such small polity components and parasites like NC who indeed survives with charity of UPA when CM in his public address admitted UPA was kind enough to support him with liberal economic aids and packages. Even the AICC, president Sonia Gandhi and vice president has publicly castigated Omar tenure as CM most inefficient and irresponsive towards State’s popular demands and grievances despite given full support to deliver goods.
He accused NC being anti-Jammu whose Ministers always played with the sentiments of Jammu. Mr Sharma reiterated now when NC is facing the tunes of people for their failures on all fronts to divert attention of masses , it is indulging in childish political gimmicks to shift their accountability to Congress. Mr Sharma charged NC for having secret tie up with BJP exploring post-poll alliance since, BJP’s mission +44 seems blasted by Jammu people. Seeing its certain political debacle, the NC has opted to target Congress who is all determined to emerge as single largest party and to lead next Government. He appealed Jammu people to defeat both parties which have common agenda to play with their sentiments and conspired to grab power through unfair means.
He urged upon Akhnoor people to vote him and send to Assembly on his 12 years performances as during his tenure the constituency witnessed massive development in all sectors in planned manner.
