JAMMU, Apr 21: Government Medical College (GMC) Medical Superintendent Dr Dara Singh’s role in fight against Coronavirus has come in for special praise from BJP Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas.
In a letter addressed to Dara Singh, Manhas said on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi entire country has united in fight against Coronavirus and all people are fulfilling their responsibility with honesty and dedications.
“In the situation of crisis, you are fighting from the front row to secure people from Coronavirus pandemic and your role has been worth strong appreciation,” Manhas said.
He added that all doctors, Nurses, para-medical staff, safai karamcharis, police personnel, Bank staff and others associated with various Government services have been risking their lives for safety and security of the people.
Manhas expressed confidence that with the efforts of such people, India will win the war against Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Manhas, today distributed “Personal Protection Kits” (PPE) at Government Medical College Jammu, designated as a dedicated hospital for COVID-19, in presence of Principal GMC Dr. Sunanda Raina, Administrator Amit Sharma, Superintendent Dr. Dara Singh, Superintendent Police Hospital Dr. Kirti Sharma, Dr. Rajeshwar Charak and other senior functionaries as well as the nurses including those treating the COVID patients.
MP, while recognising the efforts being made by the health workers in this hour of crisis, said that these are the front line warriors who need to be supported at all levels for their safety as well. He said that the situation arising out of this dreaded pandemic is being dealt efficiently and collectively by the district administrations.
