HIRANAGAR, Dec 31: BJP here today organized the event ‘Atal Samriti Sammelan’ in district Kathua and paid rich tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
On this occasion, senior BJP leader and District Seh-Prabhari, Sanjay Kumar Baru addressed the Sammelan organized under the leadership of MLA Hiranagar, Vijay Sharma.
Baru said that Vajpayee was not only a great statesman but also a visionary leader who succeeded in unifying opposition parties under one umbrella and earned acceptability across party lines.
He quoted famous statement of Atal Ji that neighbour cannot be changed.
MLA Vijay Sharma said the ideals and vision of Atal Bihari Vajpayee are being carried forward at the grassroots level under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that whether it is inclusive development, strong national security or welfare of the poorest sections, the present government is translating Atal Ji’s thoughts into concrete action on the ground.
Former MLAs Kuldeep Raj, Subash Sharma and Dewan Singh, Mandal president Hiranagar, Mukesh Padha, Mandal President Marheen, Pardeep Singh, Mandal President Kootah, Som, vice president, Rajinder Bakshi, Mahila Morcha president, Bobby Rani, senior leaders, Sudesh Sethu, Asha Nand, Asha Devi, Devo Rani, ex-Sarpanch, Ashwani Sharma and others also paid tributes to the legendary leader.
