JAMMU, Aug 10: BJP leader, Raj Kumar Tarkhan today started drain work worth Rs 2.5 lakhs at Ward 51 in Sector 1A, Channi Himmat, here today.
Raj Kumar Tarkhan said that the drain was in dilapidated condition for a long time and the residents of the ward residing nearby the drain were facing a lot of problems due to overflow of draining water especially during the rainy season. “The matter was brought to the notice of the Government, thereafter the Government ordered for execution of the same under the monsoon relief package,” he said.
He assured the locals that their grievances regarding power, water, lane and drain will be resolved soon.
Jagdish Raj Proch (Ward president), Rajkumar (Mandi wale), Anil Wadhera, Raghubir Singh Charak, Jiwan Singh Charak, Honey Verma, Mirza Bhagat and Balvinder Kumar were present during the event.
