BJP leader meets DRM, demands restoration of services

JAMMU, Aug 29: To review the current scenario of railway services in Jammu following recent disruptions, J&K BJP vice president, Rakesh Mahajan here today met Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Jammu, Vivek Kumar and discussed the impact of floods on railway operations, the status of Bari Brahmana Railway yard and steps needed to restore normalcy in train services.
Speaking to the media, Mahajan emphasized the importance of prompt action.
He stated, “The trader community has been waiting for improved facilities and it is imperative that their needs are met without any delay.”
The BJP leader also praised the initiatives taken by PM Modi and Indian Railways in modernizing railway facilities across the country. “I requested the DRM to extend similar upgraded facilities and services at Jammu Railway Station so that passengers and traders get benefited from enhanced infrastructure and smoother operations,” he maintained adding the DRM assured that all the issues raised would be addressed soon.
Both Mahajan and the DRM agreed that a coordinated effort is essential to ensure timely resolution of operational issues, infrastructure upgrades and enhanced passenger and trader satisfaction.
