JAMMU, Dec 31: To submit a comprehensive memorandum regarding the pressing concerns of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community and PM Package employees, a high-level delegation of the BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD), led by district president Rajiv Pandita and accompanied by general secretary M L Bhat called on the Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, here today.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed its sincere gratitude to the Chief Secretary for the recent proactive initiatives taken for the welfare of the displaced community, acknowledging the administration’s commitment to addressing their long-standing grievances.
They urged the Chief Secretary to expedite the proposal currently with the DMRRR department for an increase in cash relief and noted that close to 18,000 families are solely dependent on this relief and are struggling against rising inflation.
Issues regarding job security of PM package employees were raised following a recent Finance Department order classifying posts as “temporary.”
They drew attention to the deteriorating infrastructure at Jagti and other camps and requested the immediate sanctioning of funds for renovation to repair leaking roofs and crumbling structures before the onset of harsh weather.
Atal Dulloo listened to the points raised by the BJP KDD leadership and assured them that he would look into these matters with the seriousness they deserve.
