JAMMU, Jan 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, organized a workshop on Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) in Suchetgarh under District Jammu Border.
During the programme party also highlighted the Central Government’s Rs 1,430 crore relief package announced to address the extensive damage caused by incessant rains and flash floods in several districts of the Jammu region.
The workshop aimed at creating awareness about the flagship rural employment mission and reaffirming the BJP-led Government’s commitment to both long-term development and immediate disaster relief.
J&K BJP general secretary, Baldev Singh Billawaria accompanied by MLA Suchetgarh, Prof. Gharu Ram, district president, Jammu Border, Rinku Choudhary, Prabhari Jammu Border, Rajinder Singh Chib, Seh Prabhari Arti Jasrotia, addressed the workshop, which was attended by party workers, and other prominent.
Addressing the party leaders, Baldev Singh Billawaria described VB-G RAM G as a historic initiative under the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. He stated that the mission guarantees dignified employment and sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural households, ensuring economic security, skill development, and creation of durable community assets. He said that the VB-G RAM G is not merely a welfare scheme, it is a strong guarantee of self-reliance, social justice, and inclusive growth for rural India. It reflects Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s resolve to take development to the last mile and empower villages as engines of national progress, he said.
He further highlighted that in Jammu & Kashmir, where rural development was long neglected due to policy paralysis and dynastic politics, VB G RAM G will usher in a new era of balanced and sustainable development, ensuring that rural areas in remote border belts receive focused attention and opportunities.
Prof. Gharu Ram hailed the Centre’s Rs 1,430 crore relief package announced to compensate losses caused by recent floods and heavy rains. He stated that the liberal assistance clearly reflects the Modi Government’s deep sensitivity and commitment to healing the wounds of affected families. He emphasized that timely financial support will accelerate restoration of infrastructure, livelihoods, and normalcy in the affected areas of Jammu region, assuring that the Modi Government stands firmly with the people in times of distress.
Rinku Choudhary expressed gratitude to the senior leadership and participants for their active involvement. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to ensuring effective implementation of welfare and relief measures at the grassroots, pledging dedicated efforts to translate Government initiatives into real benefits for every household.
