Leaders visit refugee camp at Bishnah

JAMMU, May 9: To assess the ground situation and understand the hardships faced by displaced people due to continued Pakistani shelling along the International Border, senior BJP leaders visited the refugee camp set up at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Bishnah.
Sat Sharma CA, president, J&K BJP, Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), Rajiv Bhagat, MLA, Rinku Chaudhary, district president, Ashwani Sharma, former MLA and other BJP leaders met the displaced families from the border affected by Pakistani shelling at Bishnah.
While talking to border people, Sat Sharma said that the visit aimed to take a ground-level review of the conditions in which the displaced people are currently living and to express the party’s commitment to their safety and well-being.
Sat Sharma, said that the BJP has taken serious cognizance of the repeated misadventures by the Pakistan. He said that the morale of people and the forces is high, but still in wake of the persistent threat to their lives the people directly in range of the Pakistani shelling had to leave their homes.
Sharma lauded the measures taken by the administration to provide the basic essentials to the displaced people. He insisted that there should be surplus supply of things available for the people.
Sunil Sharma emphasized the importance of maintaining open and regular coordination with the civil administration to minimize panic among the displaced and to curb the spread of misinformation. “Timely and accurate communication can help ease the psychological burden on the affected families,” he noted.
Jugal Kishore Sharma reassured the refugees that the BJP stands firmly with them during this challenging time. “Our party workers are actively coordinating with the administration to ensure that all necessary aid reaches the displaced individuals. We will not leave any stone unturned in providing them the support they deserve,” he affirmed.
Rajiv Bhagat also reaffirmed the party’s commitment and the efforts of administration to take care of all the needs of the displaced families.
Ashwani Sharma said BJP has always worked for the cause of the people and in this hour of crisis party will leave no stone unturned in mitigating the sufferings of people displaced from border.
Raj Singh, Narayan Datt, Surjit Singh, Surat Singh Charak, Jaideep Sambyal, Sumit Sadotra, Surjit Kumar, Sonu Pardhan, Pradeep Gupta, Satish Bharati, Rajeev Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
Earlier BJP leaders held a crucial meeting at party Headquarters here in the wake of the recent escalation of tension due to drone and missile attacks launched from across the border by Pakistan,
The meeting was chaired by Sat Sharma, president, J&K BJP and was attended by several senior party leaders to assess the prevailing situation and to coordinate the party’s response.
Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, Ashok Koul, general secretary (Org), Dr. Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Ministers, Vibodh Gupta, general secretary, J&K BJP, RS Pathania, spokesperson and MLA, Baldev Singh Billawaria, former Dy Mayor, Sanjita Dogra, Rakesh Mahajan, Rajeev Charak, Dr. Abhijeet Sigh Jasrotia, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu and others were present in the meeting.
