BJP has accelerated pace of development in J&K: Randhawa

JAMMU, Sept 2: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has accelerated pace of development in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as works on many mega projects have been executed and many others are in pipeline.
This was stated by State secretary BJP and former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Choudhary Vikram Randhawa while kick-starting tile laying work at Ward Number-1 of Narwal Panchayat in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment.
Randhawa said that the pace of development has increased manifold in Jammu and Kashmir which is visible on ground now. He said that BJP has launched many mega projects including AIIMS, IIT, IIM, Delhi-Katra Express Highway and the counting is on. He said that apart from these projects the BJP has fully focused on the development of the rural areas also.
He further said that the Panchayati Raj Institutions have been strengthened with the establishment of three tier system for the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir following which the people are now feeling the wind of change. He said that rural J&K would be developed at par with urban areas for which BJP is fully committed.
Referring to the inauguration of the work, Randhawa said that it was also a long pending demand of the people of the area which has been fulfilled. He said that the work is being executed by PWD Division 1, at an estimated cost of Rs 8 lakh.
Mohd Aslam (Naib Sarpanch), Mohd Haneef (Panch), Rafique Choudhary, Amit Gupta, Raman Sharma, Riaz Ahmed, Ajay, Mohinder, Pappu and many others were present on the occasion.
