SRINAGAR, Dec 15: J&K BJP Minority Morcha President Ranjodh Singh Nalwa today visited the remote Beerwah area of Kashmir Valley for the first time after taking charge.
He received a warm welcome from BJP workers and local community members, showing increasing grassroots support for the party in the region.
Several BJP leaders and workers were present on the occasion, including General Secretary J&K UT Minority Morcha Imtyaz Bhat, Vice President Amarjit Singh, District President Jammu South Minority Morcha Gurdeep Singh and others.
During the visit, a number of workers from the National Conference (NC) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Nalwa.
They expressed confidence in the BJP’s leadership and its development-oriented policies, marking an important political development in the area.
Addressing the gathering, Nalwa said that people of Kashmir understand the BJP’s welfare schemes and its vision for development in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I have not come here to explain anything. People already know they were misled for years. Now they realise that their future and the future of their children lies with the BJP,” he said.
Nalwa said that the BJP does not support dynastic politics or favoritism.
“In BJP, merit and ability matter. Those who are committed to serving the poor and deprived sections are given opportunities,” he added.
Criticising the National Conference, Nalwa said dynastic politics has harmed the interests of common people and slowed down real development in Jammu and Kashmir.
He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to inclusive development, social justice, and equal opportunities for all, including minorities.
He urged party workers to strengthen grassroots outreach and spread awareness about central government welfare schemes.
