SRINAGAR, June 11: Directing party workers to raise the demand for the restoration of statehood during upcoming conventions across the Valley, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra today said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed on all fronts.
He made these remarks after reviewing developmental and political activities in the Central Shalteng Constituency at the Srinagar Party Headquarters.
Karra also received feedback on various public issues and resolved to address them on a priority basis.
The JKPCC President reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for the inclusive development of both Jammu and Kashmir regions, while strongly criticizing the BJP Government for its continued failure to meet public expectations.
He emphasized the need to identify other long-pending concerns in the constituency for timely resolution.
JKPCC President urged party workers to strengthen their grassroots connect and understand people’s developmental needs so that appropriate action can be taken promptly.
Earlier, the JKPCC President also interacted with District Congress Committee Presidents from the Kashmir region, as well as Mahila Congress district presidents.
He urged them to gear up for the upcoming district-level political conventions across Kashmir, during which the Congress Party will reiterate its strong demand for the restoration of statehood under the mission ‘Hamari Riyasat, Hamara Haq’.
On the occasion, several prominent DPAP workers from Srinagar and the District President of JDU from Shopian joined the Congress Party and expressed full faith in the pro-people policies and programs of the Congress.
The JKPCC President, along with other senior leaders, welcomed the new entrants into the party fold.
