BJP dividing people on communal lines: Manohar

JAMMU, May 1: Former minister and president DCC Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today targeted BJP and its leadership for the remarks that people will have to choose between “majboor (helpless) Sarkar and Majboot (strong) Sarkar”, saying the present electoral battle is between the “dictatorship of BJP and Congress’ “value of democracy”.
Talking to media-persons leaders of BJP including PM Modi ji during their election speeches are silent on several issues, including demonetisation and GST as well as issues like the agrarian crisis. On BJP”s famous phrase ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, Manohar said the country wants to hear from the Prime Minister why farmers are protesting today.
He also questioned Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s claim that there were no terrorist attacks in the country post-2014.
“She claims there was no terrorist attack since 2014 then what about Uri, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Pulwama and regular ceasefire violations in J&K in which our brave soldiers are attaining martyrdom. He further said that under BJP rule the sanctity of independent institutions like CBI, RBI, Judiciary and many more has been in danger.
Rafale deal Manohar said that people of the country have the right to hold the elected government to the highest standards of transparency and accountability. A joint parliamentary committee, a continuous demand by the opposition will establish whether the grave charges made against the Government in the Rafale deal are justified or not.
DCC chief said unemployment is all time high in the country in last 45 years. He said today’s youth is driving force for tomorrow. India has 65% of youth population but 30 % of them are unemployed. He said BJP Govt has failed to provide 10 crores jobs that they had promised in their election manifesto.
He further said that it is duty of Government to provide employment opportunities to the youth but the present Govt is dividing the country and youth on communal lines.
