MENDHAR, Apr 7: Senior National Conference leader and former Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed Ahmed Rana, today lashed out at the BJP for dividing the country’s population on religious lines.
Addressing a gathering at village Salwah, in support of Congress candidate Raman Bhalla, Rana said ever since its birth, it has divided people on the basis of caste and religion and this has affected country’s growth. He said that the BJP understands that it can never achieve its agenda of Hindutava, until and unless there is no division on religious lines.
Terming 5 years of Modi rule as worst in the history of this country, Rana said that it becomes evident from the programmes and policies of the party, as to what extent they have succeeded in spreading hatred among people on every issue.
He said that the BJP should not involve itself in petty politics and should infact try to give justice to the mandate given to it by the country in 2014.
While talking about 35A and 370, Rana said that these articles are our identity and scrapping both these articles will lead to civil war all around the state. He said that State subject law should not be eroded at any cost, its removal will invite problems for all for us. Centre should not touch the special status and infact should play a part by defending these articles in the court.
BJP has failed to deliver the promises that it made in 2014 and to win the forthcoming elections, the party and its leaders are making such statements which have no relevance in over all development of this country.
“Modi has never talked about the promises he made. Where are 2 crores jobs, where is black money, what about the economic growth of the country,” Rana asked.
N C leader claimed that time has come to overthrow this incapable party out of the power.
