JAMMU, Feb 14: A delegation of BJP unit Kargil led by its president Mohd Ali Majaz today called on State president of the party and MLA, Sat Sharma.
On behalf of the people of district Kargil, the delegation complimented the State BJP president for sanctioning the Zojila tunnel, Inclusion of Kargil Airport in UDAN Scheme and to declare Kishtwar – Panikar (District Kargil) road as National Highway.
Sat Sharma said this is a major achievement for the country in general and the people of Kargil in particular. The longest tunnel in Asia is to be completed in a span of seven years at an estimated cost of Rs 6089 crore and Kargil Civil Air Service will be started from Kargil to Srinagar under the Udan 2nd and the subsidized fair will range between Rs 1400-1500. At the end he asked BJP Unit Kargil president to convey congratulations to the people of Kargil on his behalf.
Mohd Ali Majaz took the occasion to compliment the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, Union Minister for Road Transportation, Nitin Gadkari, Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Civil Aviation Minister, Thupstan Chhewang M.P (Ladakh) and Minister of Cooperative & Ladakh Affairs Dorjay Laruk and the Union Cabinet on behalf of the people of the district and said that approval of Zojila Tunnel and inclusion of Kargil Airport in UDAN Scheme is the biggest example of the inclusive policy of the Government as enshrined in the slogan “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas”.
The delegation updated him with the working of the party besides some of the problems that the general public was facing in the severe sub zero Himalayan Winter. Sat Sharma asked the party cadre of the district to be ready for the upcoming election saying that the party has great faith in the functionaries in the district.
Among others who accompanied the delegation included district vice president, Aga Syed Murtaza Rizvi, senior leader and media incharge, Suffan Jafari, BJP district organizer, Lama Paljor, BJP senior leader Mohd Qasim, BJP district general secretary Zakir Zakiri , BJYM state secretary and Prabhari BJYM Kargil Mohd Hassan Pasha, BJYM district president, Mohd Hussain Baba, BJYM district general secretary, Ahmad Huisain besides a large number of a senior members.
