JAMMU, Feb 22: Expressing indignation over the gross failure of the BJP-PDP Government in deporting Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu despite brewing public outrage, a strong contingent of Panther activists staged a vociferous protest demonstration against the ruling alliance at Exhibition Ground, here today.
Spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and Yash Paul Kundal, State president of Young Panthers, they torched the effigy of Coalition Government and sought repatriation of the illegally settled foreigners without any further delay.

The leaders and the protesters accused BJP-PDP disregarding the public sentiment with regard to the eviction of the illegal foreign immigrants from Jammu region.
While addressing the protest demonstration, Harsh Dev Singh regretted that the BJP partnered dispensation had not responded to the alarming situation which could vitiate peace in the ‘city of temples’. “While the NC, PDP and other Kashmir centric parties are openly supporting them to tow the secessionist agenda in the State, the BJP and the Congress are blaming each other for their illegal settlement,” he said and added that if the Rohingyas were settled in Jammu during Congress rule, the BJP had provided them all amenities and facilitated their stay in and around Jammu and were both equally responsible.
He said that it was an unpleasant truth that the number of illegal foreign immigrants in Jammu region had soared under BJP rule with the reported estimate of more than 20,000 Rohingyas camping in Jammu and Samba districts.  Hitting out at the State Government, Harsh Dev Singh said that the much trumpeted group of four Cabinet Ministers,  headed by Dy CM Nirmal Singh to identify the unlawful immigrants had only proved as ‘mirage’ to hoodwink the masses which only indicated that BJP-PDP had colluded to  settle them in Jammu region.
Singh said that the illegal settlers were posing a grave demographic threat to the Jammu Pradesh. He added that they were also enjoying the patronage of the radical terror outfits like JeM, LeT and HM with their suspected involvement in the recent terror attack on Sunjuwan Army camp.
