JAMMU, Jan 6: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and ST Cell vice president for Jammu and Kashmir and Prabhari ST Cell Rajouri, Wasim Kohli, reaffirmed the party’s steadfast commitment to the welfare of the people, even while being in the opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Government. Highlighting the transformative initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah, Kohli stated that the BJP continues to focus on addressing the needs of the common people and bringing tangible improvements to their lives.
In his statement, Kohli praised the impact of flagship schemes such as the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, which has extended critical health coverage to numerous families across the Union Territory, and the Surya Ghar Yojna, which promotes renewable energy adoption while reducing household energy costs. Kohli further highlighted the setting up of a new Railway Division in Jammu under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, describing it as a transformative initiative that will foster trade, tourism, and employment opportunities in the region. He emphasized that this step will not only enhance economic prospects for the people of Jammu and Kashmir but also solidify its position as a key hub in the national railway network.
