JAMMU, Jan 29: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fully committed to the dignified return of the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community to their homeland, said Sat Sharma, BJP State President of Jammu & Kashmir, during an event at the party office in Trikuta Nagar area here today.
He emphasized that the party has always championed the cause of the displaced community and worked to protect their rights and dignity.
Sharma highlighted that the efforts of the Narendra Modi-led Government have significantly reduced terrorist and separatist activities in the region.
These improvements, he added, will not only ensure the socio-economic growth of the region but also foster hope and confidence among the Kashmiri Pandit community, facilitating their return to their native land.
He further assured that BJP has consistently raised the issues faced by the displaced Kashmiri Pandits and is committed to finding lasting solutions.
The new BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) team, led by Rajeev Pandita, has been entrusted with the responsibility to highlight the community’s concerns and work towards their betterment.
Pandita, the newly elected District President, expressed gratitude for the party’s unwavering support and assured the leadership of KDD’s dedication to addressing the needs of the displaced community. He also promised to strengthen the party’s base in the region.
The event also saw the felicitation of Sat Sharma for his recent election as the BJP Jammu & Kashmir President, as well as Ashok Koul, BJP General Secretary (Organization), for his contribution to the party and community.
The KDD delegation included several leaders, including Chand Ji Bhat, Hira Lal Bhat, and Sanjay Bhat, among others.
