JAMMU, Jan 23: The jubilant leaders and activists of Jammu and Kashmir BJP celebrated the election of Rajnath Singh as National President by distributing sweets and greeting each other.
Former State president Shamsher Singh Manhas was leading the jubilant activists at the function held at Party headquarters here today.
Congratulating the Party activists, Shamsher Singh Manhas said that it is a healthy democratic practice in the Party that after the completion of the tenure of President or any other head of unit, the elections are held and any party activist can be the candidate for the top post. He said that in view of the Party’s Mission 2014, the responsibility on Rajnath Singh at this juncture has become all the more important. He expressed hope that the Party will become stronger and get success in achieving thumping majority in the elections as and when held.
