BASANTGARH, July 10: Claiming that BJP betrayed sentiment of Jammu people, Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JKNPP & former Minister today said that BJP has caused greatest disillusionment to its own electorates by declining holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Addressing public meetings in Upper Balota, Mang, Pinata and Khaned villages of tehsil Basantgarh today Harsh Dev said despite repeated assurances and re-assurances of reviewing and revising the holidays calendar to include September 23 in the list of gazette holidays, BJP led government failed to keep word before the people who gave it 25 Assembly and both Parliament seats.
“BJP cowardly surrendered before PDP in BJP-PDP government and this is still afresh in the minds of people as the same govt refused to revive the practice of issuance of Dogra Certificate to the youth of Jammu,” he maintained adding that the same BJP followed dictations of Kashmiri leaders over Rassana issue and refused to hand over the case to CBI.
The Panthers Party leader said that daily rated workers of PHE, PDD and R&B are without wages for months together with none to listen their woes.
