Birthday of Acharya Balkrishan celebrated as Jadi-Buti Diwas

HARIDWAR, Aug 4: Birthday of Patanjali Yogpeeth General Secretary, Acharya Balkrishan was celebrated here today at Patanjali Wellness Centre as Jadi-Buti (herb) Diwas.
On this occasion Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishan and others participated in activities like plantation drive for the healthy world.
Eye testing, dental check-up and blood donation camps were also organized on this occasion in which Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishan and others donated their blood.
About 450 units of blood were donated in these camps while eyes of 588 people were tested and 207 people were given free of cost spectacles and 470 people get their teeth checked in the dental camp.
Speaking on the occasion Swami Ramdev extended birthday wishes to Acharya Balkrishan and lauded his role in the establishment of Patanjali Ayurvedic Hospital, Yoggram, Patanjali Wellness and other Patanjali institutions.
Acharya Balkrishan said that we are healthy on this earth only because of herbs.
“If we have to safeguard ourselves then we have to protect the herbs,” he maintained.
On this occasion 11 books written by Acharya Balkrishan were also released.
The day was marked by lakhs of workers of Patanjali Yog Samiti visiting door-to-door distributing free of cost herbal plants like that of Tulsi, Giloy, Alovera, Ashwagandha, Neem etc.
The distribution of herbal plants was also done abroad at Nepal, UK and in many other countries.
