JAMMU, July 7: In a tragic incident, an 11-year old boy died after he accidentally hanged himself with a belt at his house in Jagti, under the jurisdiction of Nagrota Police Station.
The deceased, identified as Ayush, son of Subash Chander, was playing with his brother when he accidentally got himself hanged with a belt. Despite, hectic efforts of the brother, who cut the belt with a blade, Ayush could not be saved and was declared dead on being taken to hospital.
At the time of incident, their mother had gone to market for purchasing a cake for Ayush’s birthday celebration.
Even as Police registered a case under relevant section for further investigations in this regard, the family members took the body from hospital without postmortem and not informing the Police. However, permission for the same had been taken from the District Magistrate.
