JAMMU, May 8: In another step forward to assist the patients visiting the recently launched OPDs of Super Specialty Hospital of the Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, the Department of Biochemistry today started its trial window collection services at the Super Specialty Hospital.
Head of Department Biochemistry Dr A S Bhatia said the patients would be benefited with the opening of trial window by the Biochemistry Department in the new hospital.
Dr Bhatia has constituted a committee consisting of doctors, senior lab technicians and para-medical staff to supervise biochemical/metabolic diagnostics services at the SSH.
“The trial based service will be available to the OPD patients from 8 am to 2 pm initially and will be extended to 24 hours as and when indoor services are made operational in the Super Specialty Hospital,” Dr Bhatia said.
He added that various tests like lipid profile, kidney function, liver function, diabetic along with other biochemical markers will be available to the patients. The lab will have a backup support of three fully automated biochemistry analyzers installed in the Department.
