JAMMU, Sept 7: Bimla Luthra, former MLA and State vice president women wing of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), visited several flood-affected areas in the District Jammu Rural.
The visit covered multiple villages including Deoli, Dhaber, and Mir Nagar in Bishnah; Jinder Mil in RS Pura and Chak village in Suchetgarh Assembly constituencies.
Accompanied by the Block Development Officer (BDO) Bishnah and officials from the concerned departments, Luthra assessed the damage caused by the recent floods and interacted with the affected families.
During the visit, local residents highlighted several urgent issues including disruption in water supply, electricity outages, and damaged roads. Block development officer (BDO) Bishnah and officials assured the people that they will extend all possible support to the affected families.
Luthra assured the people that their concerns would be promptly brought to the attention of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Cabinet Ministers. She said Chief Minister is leading from the front to reach out to the sufferers to minimize their problems.
Among those who were present included- Joginder Kour District president Jammu Urban Women Wing, Baljeet Kour District Secretary Jammu Urban Women Wing, Shanti Devi, Santosh, Asha Devi and others.
