JAMMU, Apr 15: Ex-MLA, Bimla Luthra today assured the farmers whose standing crops were damaged in recent rains and hailstorms, to take up their genuine cause at appropriate levels for immediate redressal.
Addressing a workers’ meeting at Naya Sheyar in RS Pura, Luthra assured the farmers that their cause will be taken up with concerned authorities and all efforts would be made to press the Government to provide appropriate compensation to the affected farmers.
Referring to the party’s role during the past six years of Omar led Government, Luthra said while development got new dimension, earnest efforts were made to assuage the political and economic aspirations of the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
She said that the party will continue to seek equitable development and equal opportunities of progress to the people, irrespective of region, religion or caste.
