Billawaria chairs Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat meeting

JAMMU, Aug 3: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir, general secretary and “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign convenor, Baldev Singh Billawaria chaired a meeting on “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign at BJP Headquarters here, today.
The meeting was addressed by J&K “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign co-incharge Aajendra Kumar Sharma, J&K general secretary, Sanjita Dogra, Gopal Mahajan. The meeting highlighted the party’s commitment to strengthen national unity and promote cultural integration across India.
Addressing the meeting, Baldev Singh Billawaria discussed strategies to increase the reach and impact of the “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign in J&K. He said that the transparent initiative “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi aims to promote mutual understanding among citizens of different States and Union Territories. He called for focusing on promoting the spirit of unity and harmony among diverse communities by encouraging cultural exchanges and collaborative initiatives. He said, “Our goal is to build a stronger and more integrated India by celebrating the rich diversity of each State and promoting mutual understanding.”
Ajendra Sharma elaborated on the BJP’s active participation in promoting inter-State relations through various activities such as music, theatre, food festivals, language learning and historical exchanges. He also made a special appeal to the Pravasi population, especially the people of Bihar to visit their native cities and participate in the upcoming State Assembly elections.
Sanjita Dogra said that ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ is not just a slogan but a shared responsibility of all Indians, which will promote social harmony, economic development and cultural prosperity in the country. She said, “Our aim is to create an India where every citizen gets equal opportunities and everyone gets a chance to contribute to the progress of the nation.”
Gopal Mahajan shared detailed information of the activities being carried out under the campaign in the Union Territory. He highlighted several successful initiatives that have enhanced cultural connect between the people of Jammu and Kashmir and other regions.
Co-incharge of Jammu administrative district Brijeshwar Rana, in charge of District Samba Jai Ram Sharma and incharge of district Border, Akash Chopra were also present in the meeting.
