JAMMU, Sept 6: BJP J&K general secretary and former Dy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria here today visited various Wards of Jammu city and took stock of the damage caused by the recent heavy rains.
During his visit Billawaria also met the calamity hit people and inspected the status of relief work.
After interacting with the people, the BJP leader urged the administration to provide quick and effective relief to the affected people.
He said that it is the priority of the BJP that public gets relief and the loss is compensated as soon as possible. While inspecting the affected areas, Billawaria said that Modi government at Center and BJP workers will leave no stone unturned to deal with this crisis together.
He also said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is keeping a close watch on Jammu and he is taking every possible step for the development and security of Jammu.
“In collaboration with the local administration, the work of compensation of losses and reconstruction will be started soon,” the BJP leader maintained adding: “All the MLAs, MPs, senior leaders and workers of BJP are committed to provide all kinds of help to the affected people in collaboration with the local administration.”
Those who accompanied Billawaria were Ranjit Singh, Ajay Pratap Singh, Ashok Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Prem Kumar, Om Nath, Punjab Singh and Kali Das.
