Youth ends life

KATHUA, Nov 19: A motorcyclist was killed and his pillion rider was seriously injured when a Matador hit the bike on which they were riding from rear side here at Kalibari today.
The deceased person was identified as Teg Ali, son of Surmu resident of Jagatpur, Kathua. The injured was identified as Bashir son of Lal Hussian resident of Jagatpur, Kathua. Both were travelling on a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK08J 3010 which was hit by a Matador bearing Registration Number JK02AW 6850 from rear side here at Kalibari.
Both were trapped under the Matador. A JCB lifted the Matador and rescued them. They were immediately shifted to GMC Kathua. But one of them was declared as brought dead at the Hospital.
Kathua police has registered a case and seized the Matador.
In another incident, a youth committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at Lakhanpur near here, today. The deceased was identified as Ishant Sharma, son of Shashi Pal resident of Lakhanpur. Police started investigation into the matter. The cause of the extreme step taken by the youth is being ascertained by the police.
